I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
