Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.

The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." This playful quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe introduces a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
